Volunteer Cheer Team Disabled People
A non-profit company of volunteers which deals with disabled people organizes baseball games each summer twice a week. Recently, a cheerleading team that consists of girls with various impairments made a surprise performance on this game. It was the “AllStar Wildcat Cheer Team” which is a non-profit team leading by volunteer Kelly Roule.
Kelly said that it is very pleasurable to work with these people. They always thanks her a lot and it is a great gift for her.
As said therapist Wesley Kochan baseball players didn’t expect to see these cheers and it was very fun to see the reaction.
“Fun, happiness, smiles, laughter. Volunteers brought a lot of fun into the lives of the disabled,” said volunteer engagement manager Cathy Nikrandt.
The AllStar Wildcat Cheer Team disabled volunteers got a gold award as the US team in Orlando and performed in Chicago at the Special Olympics fiftieth anniversary.
